The Mahana House design is commercial construction company Naylor Love’s solution to New Zealand’s social housing problem – offering healthy, sustainable, practical family homes.

Their Rollesby Street, Christchurch, project will deliver 2 x 3 bedroom homes for two families under Habitat for Humanity’s ‘rent-to-own’ scheme.

In the very near future, more of these scalable, practical, very attractive homes will become available in other cities.

Compac Commercial was very pleased to collaborate on the project, supplying high-spec wall lining made of laminated MDF from Compac Panels, saving time
and providing a durable, easy care interior solution that will retain its good looks for longer.

Practical, space saving, built-in joinery was also provided for the kitchen, living and bedrooms, including wardrobes, drawers and shelving along with storage and entertainment shelving for the living areas.
